My mood while writing this blog: ok |
I'm having a laparascopy in 2 1/2 weeks, they are also looking in my uterus and putting a dye through my fallopian tube to see if there are blockages. Am nervous about it, also could anyone tell me how long does it take to recover? can i go back to work the day after?
Not sure if i have endometriosis yet, that's what they are checking for, my grandmother has it and i have all the symptoms, have been with my husband for 3 years, never used protection, have been actively trying for about 10 cycles with no sucess. Was excited with TTC, but now i can't help but feel dissapointed

Wednesday, 14 Oct Well I had the HSG last week, i took the day, and even though the test was normal, it did caused me cramps, and after catheter was out had a burnning feeling that went away 30 mins. later. With my first laparoscopy i was able to go back to work the 4 days after, and that was because my surgery was on a wednesday. My second laparoscopy was a little more complex, still i flew back to the us 10 days later and next day i went to work and i had to leave. So everyone has different xperiences, just take your time recuperating.Good Luck! tasha3withwingsbailey -
Tuesday, 6 Oct With the HSG test I would say yes... I am not going to lie, when I had it done it was the worst pain I have ever felt. They say that it's worse if you have a blocked tube and for some reason my spasmed up. Some of my friends had it and they felt very mild like cramps but nothing "painful", but my pain went away as soon as the test was over which was like 45 seconds cause my catheter came out. So I do believe with the HSG test that you should be fine to go back to work the next day. I have also heard that people have gotten pregnant right after having one of these done cause it kinda flushes out the tubes...don't know if there is any truth to it but I will keep my fingers crossed for you! GOOD LUCK!!! barbieken7981 -
Tuesday, 6 Oct I had laparascopy and it took one week to recover. I got pregnant 1 year after that surgery and I had 7 miscarriages prior to the surgery. I had my baby girl 2 months ago. If you have any other questions just ask im not an expert but can speak from experience.
