03-2-2009 - Ultrasound #1

My mood while writing this blog: pretty damn good

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it went pretty good!!! my day didnt start out the way i would have wanted it to and Mark didnt end up coming to the ultrasound (long story and im still pissed off about it) so i had to go to my ultrasound by myself.... i was terrified! i was laying there thinking oh god its going to be something bad while trying not to pee my pants from all the stupid water (I HATE THAT PART)....and the technician wasnt overly friendly but not mean or anything...and then she asked me if i was there by myself which almost gave me a heart attack..and i said yes..and then she didnt say ANYTHING after that...i was like AHHHHHHH...but looking back she was probably trying to figure out if she had to go get someone to look at the baby later on in the appoinment since the first half of the ultrasound no one can come in with me....but still..she could have SAID THAT...she made me think it was something bad!!! Anyways...so then she showed me the baby and the heart beat!!! YAY it was 163BPM and im soooooo relieved! i thought i was going to cry right then and there...but i held it together and got thru the rest of it..she gave me a picture and it totally reminds me of when Landon was in there at theat stage of the pregnancy...tiny little baby..hehe..anyways so now im just waiting for my doctor to get all the results and then ill call to make sure that everything went okay..but IM SO GLAD THAT THE HEART BEAT WAS THERE AND STRONG....thank u god!!!!

aww thats good that the baby is good!!!! yeah i know when i was pregnant they wouldnt say anything back and i got mad about it..yeah they wont tell u anything if the baby has a problem..maybe mark will be there next time for the next u/s =)

I am so happy for you that everything looks healthy. I hate having to hold my bladder especially now since sneezing causes me to leak every now and again. TMI...sorry.

Awwww i hate when they ask weird questions or are unusually QUIET for a long time cos ive come to learn that can mean bad news fromprevious scan experiences :(
But im so pleased to hear that all look well and strong and the heartbeats nice and fast and steady, must be a big relief for you! Shame your other half couldnt go but at least you have pictures to show xx
