13-3-2009 - My First OBGYN Appt

Hey there Ladies!!
Im thrilled to announce that i LOVE LOVE LOVE my OBGYN this time around...i just met her for the first time yesterday and she was GREAT!!! The crappy part is she's always reallly late on her appt times, but the reason for that is that she takes as long as she wants with each patient...she never rushes u, she answers anything and everything, she shares stories with u and she makes conversation...my appt was over an hour long! she was amazing!!!! soo different from the last OB i had with my son..he made me feel rushed and like a number and that he didnt really care about me at all...im hoping i keep loving this new one...Mark really liked her as well and that makes it even better! I also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and it was soooooooooooo great....my family dr doesnt have a doppler for some stupid reason, so i didnt get to hear it for 18 weeks...boo...
Oh and she wants to continue seeing me from now on and i dont have to go back to my family dr which i normally would because most OBGYN's only take u once ur like 6-7 months preggo or something....but not her!!! which means i can hear the heartbeat every month now!!! yayyyyyy....im so excited to not hate this dr hahahahha...anyways thats all i had to update...everything is going well...im not sick very much anymore which is completely different from my last pregnancy because with my son i was sick the whole 9 months!!! the only thing that i've noticed thats strange is that i keep getting a stupid rash on both my cheeks..its not acne but like a heat rash sorta....WEIRD....but eh i can deal with something silly like that....=)

its always nice to have a dr that takes their time with you and listens and does not rush things. nice to hear you finally got to hear the heartbeat. I could never wait that long! lol. I go right at 10 weeks and make them search till they find it! Enjoy and glad you not sick anymore.

I'm so happy for you. I'm glad you got to hear the heartbeat too. Isn't it great? I love hearing our babys heartbeat!

Glad to hear all seems to be going well and its nice you like the Doctor, it makes a huge difference to how you feel about appointments. Ive had some really miserable doctors in the past that made me feel like missing the appointment all together but you dont for babys sake! I hope she continues to be human lol

very happy to hear the good news! I too had a rash looking thing on my cheeks with my little one.. they said it was roseia or something like that and it went away after I had my boy :)

All good to hear. It is really wonderful to like your doctor and feel comfortable with him/her. I know what you mean about feeling rushed or like a number....Believe Me. And hearing the lil heartbeat makes it all so worth it. :)
