22-3-2009 - How much does your 8 week baby weigh?

Hi guys! I have a question..how much did or does your baby weigh at 8 weeks? Reason why I am asking is Mikayla got weighed at her doc on Thursday and she was 12lbs and the doc said she was overweight... Just wondering on a scale how much bigger she really is..please inform me! Thanks

hon don't listen to docs when they tell you things like that. babies can't overeat at this age, and not every baby just like not every adult is the same body frame and shape! you feed your baby how you see fit, and when they get older continue with the nutritious foods and they'll be just fine! my daughter weighed 14 pounds at 2 months, and my son weighed 13 pounds at his 2 months. just relax and ignore the doc, trust me!

If thats overweight than my lil guy is OBESE...lol My youngest weighed 13.4 at 4 weeks and weighed 15.12 at 8 weeks!! He gained like crazy in the beginning, but now at 11 months he has been around the same 23 1/2 pounds since November!! I can't believe your dr would say that!

My little man weighed 13 lbs 14 oz on Wednesday and his doctor never said anything about him being over weight. I think it all has to do with how much a child weighed at birth and how long they are also. My kids weight is at 90% he is 2 feet tall which is at 88% and his head was at 50%. My kids have the same doctors and at birth they were 1 lb apart and same thing with at 2 months, I do not worry about the weight of my child at this time, maybe I will when he is eating people food but until then I think he is eating what he needs to help him grow.
