So, I met with Dr. L this am. We discussed the usual history, appointments passed and upcoming, and booked more ultra sounds. I got to hear the heart beat for the very first time. It was such sweet music to my ears at 158 bpm. We also discussed my weight loss. I originally weighed 124 lbs and I am now down to 203 lbs. She is not too concerned about the weight loss but wants to monitor it. I am not all that worried because I have the extra lbs to spare. I am 5'10 so 200 lbs is not as obvious on me, however, I can see the loss when looking in a mirror with no clothes on and my clothes are fitting looser. I also am just getting over a stomach flu with lots of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea so I am certain that added to the lost lbs.

Because of Cannen's history we will be getting a fetal heart echo done as well and the clinic will call me with a date and time once that is booked. She read the NT results to me and while they are "normal" my risks have increased somewhat for Downs Syndrome. I am not too worried. I have my amnio coming up on Thursday and I have a good feeling about it.
