| 13-5-2009 - 29 Week Dr's Appointment & Updatey Type Things.. | My mood while writing this blog:Awake. |
I went for my 29 weeks appointment with the fill in OB yesterday. Everything is going well. According to my u/s last week my placenta has moved well out of the way of the cervix. Yay! No placenta previa for this chicka. I complained of feeling a lot of pressure down below(almost like baby girl is just going to fall out) and even being so swollen it hurts to sit at times. The OB said this is normal with the more pregnancies you have as long as I am having no contractions. Which I am, but only BHs. My cervix is measuring 5 cms so I have nothing to worry about at this point. Plus, my babies never arrive early or even on time for that matter. The boys have all be overdue by 6 days to 12 days. Caprice was one day late, but only arrived when she did because I was induced. My water broke but no labour so they induced me after 24 hours. My body does not know what early means.
The OB put me on Zantac for my terrible heart burn and it already seems to be helping. I took my med and fell asleep at 6 pm tonight and I have had no heartburn/reflux issues at all. Normally by now I would have taken at least 3 Tums. I am so glad I asked her today to do something about it. It's a pretty terrible thing to wake up choking on bile at least once a night. I have gained 0.4 lbs in the last three weeks so I have gained a total of 8.4 lbs after losing 21 lbs. Technically I am at 12.6 lbs lost. Not too bad.
I had a nice Mother's day this past weekend. I woke up to snuggles and breakfast in bed. The kids made me some cards. Caprice made me a gorgeous paper bouquet. Cannen made me two sun catchers; a sun and a moon. Corgan made me a decorative box with pics of him in. Chance never had the opportunity to make me anything as he is only going half days to school right now and missed out on that. He was pretty bummed, but I let him know all that mattered was spending my day with my kids and that hugs and cuddles were all I needed. The hubby bought me a package to U C Baby so we can try and get a 4D pic or two of baby girl. She did not cooperate at the medical one last week and hubs was so disappointed. At U C Baby we can make it a family event and take the kids and all see her together, where as at the medical ones you aren't really encouraged to bring kids and I can understand that. In our package we are getting a DVD of the entire session, two 4 x 6 printed photos, a CD with other pics from the session, live broadcasting to 4 friends or family and web hosting. Gender determination is also free with it, but being that we already know what we are having this is not needed. Shaun(hubby) made us all dinner too. I was pretty spoiled. :o)
On the Chance front. I am still frustrated with his school and he is being excluded from so many events and activities. The good news is that he was accepted into a school the suits his needs and can deal with children like him. At first he didn't like the idea that he will be going to a new school next year, but he was happy to learn that the principal is his former vice principal and he has a very good relationship with Chance. So, it won't be completely unfamiliar for Chance. He is kind of excited now. The thing I am not looking forward to is having three kids in three different schools. Oh well..... ce le vie.
Chance seems to be more and more responsive to the med he started 5 weeks ago. He rarely blows up anymore and can handle it when he is told "no." The school even is seeing a difference in how he responds to them and find him a lot more mild mannered, but they still do not seem willing to give him a break.
The May long weekend is coming up this weekend and we are booked to go camping in BC. Oliver BC to be exact. We have an RV rented, there is a pool there as well as several lakes in the surrounding areas. Its not exactly roughing it. The RV we have rented has AC, a microwave, cable TV, wireless web and a queen sized bed. I am looking forward to the get away. I just hope I can get out of this no energy slump.
I hope everyone is well and that you all have a great week!
