I just got home from my 38 week OB appointment(although technically I am not 38 weeks until tomorrow, but this site bumps me up half a day early for some reason and my appointments moved from Tuesdays to Mondays and I change weeks officially on Tuesdays, but anyways....). All this contracting I am doing is doing something. I have dilated 2 cm and baby's head is right there.... she could feel it. Good! I am all swollen and look like baby's head is right there....lol! I am measuring right on time. I did not gain any weight in the past two weeks which is amazing with the Stampede being on for the last 10 days and having some corn dogs, fudge and mini donuts, but I have no complaints. I am still down 8.5 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight! Bonus! She decided to ream my cervix(strip my membranes) and I am having some contractions and cramping, but I have had this done with all the last 3 boys and nothing so I am not going to get my hopes up. It never worked in the past... can't see it starting now... mind you I never really dilated in the past this early on either so who knows. I guess time will tell. I am just hoping that I do not have to go overdue. She bent down to my belly and told baby that she will be evicting her next week.... but it was said in jest as I told her that as soon as an induction date is set then my babies decide to come on their own a day or two before. LOL! *crosses fingers*

Sounds like good news and having dialated already is super exciting. I hope this process gets going for you so you can have that baby soon! Congrats and I hope all works out.

Sounds like you go through a lot of frustration around this time of pregnancy lol. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. I hope the baby comes sooner than later :)

wow that is so cool minus the swelling that is going on. im 34 weeks now my apt is wed with my doc. she will swipe my membranes towards the 38th week mark she did that with my last son i was 38 weeks and the next day i was in labor and had him so i hope it goes well this time she streatched me from a 1 to a 3 in her office and that must of done the trick. keep me updated when u can let me know how u are feeling..

congratulations that u are progressing i'm sure that makes you excited, hopefully this time stripping ur membranes works...i have a few friends that went into labor a few hours after having that done so maybe that will be your case this time!
