Poet turned one week old on Sunday. I took her for her one week check up and she was already back to birth weight. Yay! The doc told me to keep doing whatever I am doing because its working. Last night Poet slept 6 and half hours through the night. I had to wake her to feed her and change her or I am sure she would have went longer. I don't mind this so much... the sleep is nice, but I want to make sure my milk is well established before she goes skipping feeds. She is putting out more than enough diapers and the weight gain is excellent so I guess I should not worry, but I do.

do you have a baby sling / carrier. Maybe you could put her in there and still have your hand free to pack. Congrats on one week :)

My cousin make baby slings. It is the only way she got anything done. she makes them custom to your size and choice of fabric. She made me one and gave it to me for a shower gift. might be worth it they are so much better then the store made ones. www.babyinafishbowl.com

I'm glad everything is going well but I'm sure after 5 kids your a pro now.Riley still only sleeps 3 hour intervals. Tell Poet to come teach him to sleep haha

Poet turned one week old on Sunday. I took her for her one week check up and she was already back to birth weight. Yay! The doc told me to keep doing whatever I am doing because its working. Last night Poet slept 6 and half hours through the night. I had to wake her to feed her and change her or I am sure she would have went longer. I don't mind this so much... the sleep is nice, but I want to make sure my milk is well established before she goes skipping feeds. During the night she is great... obviously. She sleeps well. During the day is another story. She won't let me put her down, which I love, don't get me wrong. I love to snuggle her, but we are trying to move and I am getting no packing done. My poor hubby is doing it all when he gets home from work. She doesn't settle well with others either. It seems to be only me that she cuddles and sleeps well with. The kids love to hold and snuggle her for me, but it never last long as she gets fussy.
Anyhow, the first week went by way too fast. I can't believe she is already 9 days old. I hope everyone is doing well!
