03-9-2009 - Poet's First Month

My mood while writing this blog: Bagged

During her first month she started smiling at about 2 and a half weeks old. She sleeps 5 to 7 hours through the night. She loves to snuggle. She has been forced into a schedule now that the kids are back to school and I spent 2 to 3 hours a day driving kids to and from school. She naps well in the morning and afternoon. She often has a fussy period in the early evening. She is especially fussy if I go out of the house for a bit. She has changed a lot. Many people are now telling me that she looks more like me than Shaun. :o) Her eyes are still blue, but barely. They look like they are going to turn a light brown or hazel. She still has all her hair. She is starting to spit up after some feeds now. I think she is choosing to soothe herself with the breast and is over eating. She takes the soother, but doesn't really like it and prefers the breast. She smiles tonnes now. I just have to talk to her and she gets all wide eyed and grins at me. She has two little dimples and I love them!

Anyhow, I hope you all are well. Baby dust to those TTC, labour dust to those due soon and take care all the new mommies!
