| 12-10-2009 - Happy Canadian Thanksgiving & Updates. | My mood while writing this blog:Stuffed |
We had our turkey dinner complete with pumpkin pie yesterday and enjoyed leftovers today. It was delish! We drove out to BC on Friday night. Mom and I did some shopping on Saturday and got Corgan's photos done here at the Superstore. He refused to smile. Ahhh... the joys of the terrible twos. After pics and some shopping Mom, Corg, and I went for Starbucks. It was nice to sit and chat and relax and listen to Corgan tell us how much he loves us. <3
On Sunday Poet turned 10 weeks old(She was 2 months on October 2nd). The time is just flying by. At the beginning of October it hit me that I only have 9 months of my mat leave left. I know I should be grateful as that is a lot longer than most people get, but where have the other 3 months gone? It seems they have just disappeared. This mat leave is going way faster than my last one with Corgan. Probably because its my last ever. :o(
Poet is turning into a wonderful baby. She sleeps through the night from 11 pm to anywhere from 7 am to 9 am. She is still sleeping with me. I am not ready to put her into her crib yet. I plan to do that around 3 months. She naps in her swing in the morning and her crib in the afternoon. I no longer have to hold her all day. She happily hangs out in her swing, bouncy chair or on her Baby Einstein play mat while I get housework done. She smiles tonnes and coos so much now. She is trying to roll from her back to front, but with no success. She is generally a happy baby and I love her so much. The other kids are showing a lot less signs of jealousy. They have adjusted quite well to our newest addition. I am so happy that our not so little family is now complete.
I have my appointment Oct 22nd to see about getting my tubal done. I am done with pregnancies. I am going to miss the baby stage once its over, but the pregnancies I can do without. I just wish I could hand my fertility over to a couple of my girlfriends that are struggling to get pregnant. It's so unfair that I can just sneeze and get preggo and they have been trying for years. Anyhow, I will probably get the procedure done early next year.
Tomorrow we head back home. I hope Poet is just as good on the drive home as she was here. *crosses fingers*
I would attempt to put pics on here, but I cannot seen to make them small enough. I have a tonne of pics on facebook. If anyone who hasn't added me wants to my url is www.facebook.com/diegirl
I hope all is well with all you mommas, mommas to be and those trying to conceive!!
