15-5-2008 - Name statistics added

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

If you go to the names section on this site you'll find new name statistics in the right column. A member pointed us to the ssa.org website, which shows the US name top 1000 from 1879 up to 2007. We linked the data to our name database, allowing us to make some nice graphs and add a little more value to the info on those pages.

To my surprise my name was listed in the top 1000 too:

Dirk doesn`t appear in 2007`s top-1000 name list.
The last time Dirk appeared in the top-1000 was 28 years ago, in 1980. It ranked #711 in that year. . 1960 was a `top year` for the name Dirk. (Based on 128 years of name history) In that year it ranked #415. The last time Dirk appeared among the most common names was in 1950. Our records go back to 1880
