| 18-6-2008 - 13 Weeks!!! | My mood while writing this blog:Tired |
Ok, so I had this really long detailed blog typed out and then my computer wiped it away. I hate this stupid thing. So now I am just going to give you the highlights and I hope I will elaborate on them another day.
June 11th- Last day of work for me!!! Being a teacher has some perks! Also the day we went for the Nuchal Fold Test. Everything went well; the tech had a hard time getting a measurement so she had to keep the u/s thingy on my belly for 15 minutes. This was great. We got to see the baby moving, sucking its thumb, kicking and hiccupping. Heartbeat was 155bpm, so now we are in between is it a boy or a girl? The doctor wants me to have another u/s at 16wks due to being on the lovenox. That is fine with me, the more the merrier!
June 14th- Leaving DC for Omaha, NE. My brothers family lives out here and it was time for Sesa (that’s what the kids call me) to visit. They did not know I was pregnant so when I told them in the airport they were so excited. My brother even started to cry because he knows how difficult of a journey I have had to get to this point. Needless to say the topic of every conversation was baby! NE was fun, we went to a college World Series game, very cool.
June 18th-Flying home to DC with 3 extra kids! I brought back my 2 nieces and 1 nephew with me. No they are not staying with me the whole time, my parents live here too and we will be sharing them. They will be here for 1 month. I love them dearly, but I cannot keep them for 30 days straight. My husband would have a fit. I am glad to be home and I am feeling pretty good. Not really feeling sick and not as many aches and pains only from time to time. This worries me; I start to think has something gone wrong? I try to keep reminding myself that the second trimester is suppose to be the easiest one of all and to sit back and relax. Relaxing is going to be all I do come next week. On Tuesday I will finish my Grad class up for the summer and I am going to enjoy the rest of my summer sitting by the pool reading a good book. I just have to make it to Tuesday, I can do it!
