| 02-9-2008 - Long weekend | My mood while writing this blog:relaxed |
O.K. so it has been along time since I have updated everyone on my progress. Well, things seem to be going just fine. I am feeling little Landon kicking several times a day and overall I feel pretty good. The summer has officially ended for me and I returned back to work on August 18th. Students came back to school last Monday August 25th. I was a little worried how I would feel running around, but I have to say the first week went pretty well. My true test will be at the end of this month when I start teaching a soccer unit and I am forced to be outside all day. I have a fold up chair in my SUV that is ready to go. I figure I will have my students carry it out for me and I will sit in it when I can. My students this week were really cute; they were all very excited to find out that I was having a baby. I was asked millions of questions. Most of them wanted to know when they could meet him.
My husband and I spent a good bit of this weekend cleaning out closets, getting things put away to make room for the baby. We have been married 3 years come Wednesday (9/03) and we still have wedding gifts we have not used. We live in a small town house that does not have a lot storage, so we finally boxed all the unused gifts up and put them in the attic. We love all the gifts that we received and we plan on using them once we have a larger home. We also had to box up a book shelf full of my college text books. If you came into our house you would not be able to tell that we moved anything, but there is definitely more space.
We also went to a store in Rockville, MD called BuyBuy Baby and purchased a crib and a double dresser. We plan on using the dresser as a changing table. We are so excited, we ordered the furniture in distressed black and we even registered for a few things. The furniture will be delivered in 8 to 12 weeks, so my goal is to have London’s room ready to go by the time the furniture arrives. We have so much to do! Our whole upstairs has to be reorganized. My husband’s baseball season has finally come to an end so now we will be able to work on the baby’s room every weekend. I am sure my husband is really looking forward to that!
Well, I guess this is enough for now. I have to go and get ready for work tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great week, remember its only 4 more days until the weekend! Or if you’re counting down the school year like me, only 175 days left of school! Oh boy is it going to be a long year!
