You now how normally when you first get pregnant your nipples start to hurt really bad as a symptom of pregnancy. Well mine didn`t. But now that i`m 17.5 weeks pregnant they hurt like hell. Why is that? Am i already starting to get my milk in? Is anyone else having this problem? Please comment!

Well, my boobs (not just nipples, but the ENTIRE boob!) REALLY hurt there in the beginning - maybe around 6 or so weeks? Then, it let up for a while, but returned around week 15 I think? And, Boy were they SORE... I started wearing a really supportive bra/sports bra, even at night, and they haven't bothered me since. Thank God! I was on Progesterone suppositories there for the first 14 weeks though, and those tend to make all symptoms seem a little worse. As for your ? about getting your milk in already - your body is def. preparing for it, and sometime in late 2nd trimester, I think is when you'll start to notice pre-colostrum -> the clearish-yellowish, sticky discharge, from your nipples. Try NOT to mess with your nipples too much - like you really want to, right? LOL! Over-stimulation can actually cause contractions and possibly pre-mature labor.
