25-9-2008 - Scan results

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

I had my scan today and it went really well. The baby is head down which is great. The worry is that it is sooo low and sooo well engaged that they had a really hard time seeing the baby's head. I did get to see it swallowing though which was really cool. They also said that their was no amniotic fluid infront of the baby's head, but they didn't seam to be worried in the slightest.

The other cool thing was seeing the baby learning how to use his/her lungs. :-)

I guess all these braxton contractions that have been waking me at 4 in the morning have been doing more work than I realised. They seam to have uped their level today. I have been having about 3 ish in an hour then nothing for an hour or two and they are only lasting about 30 - 40 seconds. once in a while I have one which holds a little longer!

My worry is that my other half is over 5 hours away and that is dependant on if he can get a flight! I really don't want this baby to arrive with out him. and I don't want his mum to still be here or she will take over and drive me nuts! if I can hold on till Wed then all of my partners most important meetings will be over and my MIL will be gone! :-)

I did have a great day out with my mum, she brought me some new bits for the baby which is exciting, we got one of these strange bath's which you sit the baby up in?! I'm not sure how it will work but my mum thinks it is a great idea. I'm willing to give it a go if it helps my back. we got a cool towel, (nice to have some thing just for babe to use and not have to share) and we got Jacob some bit's to decorate his room and a new Thomas book, (he is Thomas mad!). I think it is important to make him feel special at the moment.

Tomorrow I will hopefully make Jacobs room look good with all his new bits :-)

And set my birth pool up, or I will not get to use it. :-)

I've really enjoyed having a day away from the house, it has made me feel so much bettter than I did after yesterday.
