I feel your pain!!!! I too have really bad backache - 27th week as well. Where is your pain? Mine is on my upper-middle back, on the same spot, more on my back rib. Like a really sharp stabbing pain! Is yours like that? I cant really describe it as back 'ache', cause its really sharp. I go to a chiropracter, and it helps - maybe you can also try? Good luck.

I cant believe this, my back is in agony again, i dont know if its just general preg, or another infection.
I was on anti-biotics last week took my last one tuesday 26th my back ached slightly but yesterday afternoon my back really started hurting again. All last night i didnt really sleep too great. This morning DH got up with son and made lovely breakfast while i stayed in bed but i just could not get comfortable so i got up my back really really killing me, i have taken some painkillers, didnt work, been to the loo (TMI in case i was "clogged up" lol) ddnt work, had a hot bath, didn't work, DH even gave me a back rub and again im still sat here in pain.
I dont want to go to hosp cos they are useless and will just keep me in but i dont know if i can stand this pain till tomorrow when docs open!!! ARGH right now pregnancy sucks.
Ive just had a week off annual leave and am due to go back to work on Tuesday but really dont feel like going back to work standing for 8 hours a day 5 days a week when i feel like this.
