| 31-12-2008 - Caiden, Milk and 2008!! | My mood while writing this blog:Very Happy |
Well I can't believe I have not written anything since the 13th lol.
Anyway, Caiden has not been to great, at my 6 weeks check up on Monday 22nd I told the doc he is only doing pretty much 2oz, and rarely does more than that, also he choked a couple of times on his sick, and that he seems to be in alot of pain. Also was really constipated. She told me he may have reflux and if it gets worse to take him back.
By Wednesday (Xmas eve) he was terrible, the night before he had screamed for 3 hours solid after each feed, also he still had not gone for a poo and he kept being sick. Both me and mark only had a couple of hours sleep cos he was so bad, which is not like Caiden at all.
I rang the docs and got a 9:40am appt so took him straight there...what a waste of my time. The doctor said....Babies do cry and babies are sick!....also babies do NOT choke, the only time a baby will choke if there is something in their mouths. No baby chokes on their own sick!! WHAT?!?!?! So im lieing now? I was so angry he mad me feel so stupid. I told him about only doing 2oz and he said i had to make him have a feed every 2 hours, which i know full well he will not do.
I got home and was so mad, I called the health visitor so i could get him weighed and check he was ok, I took him to the centre and told her about the doc and even she was shocked. She told me to change his milk to C&G Comfort, also to feed him so he is more upright, and try keep him upright for about 30 mins after a feed as well.
It worked wonders, he still get a little bit of colic at night but not too bad. I cant believe that the doc could not give me that advice. I know my son and I know when something is not right. Just cos he is a doc he thinks he knows it all. Well I am going to make a formal comaplaint against him, he cant get away with making people feel the way he did me. If i had listened to him Caiden would still be suffering. I am glad i trusted my own judgement and instinct.
Anyway on a lighter note, Camerons Birthday was on the 19th and it was great. I had 23 people in my tiny living room all at one time, it was manic, but great fun. I can't wait to do it again lol. Since I was pregnant and at the docs and hosp alot Cameron saw the docs and MW check the babies heart with that doppler thing, and was always pretending to be a doctor. So his auntie bought him a doctors set and he loves it. He is sooo cute, he keeps saying he wants to check my heartbeat and pushing my belly.
Christmas was lovely too, watching cameron open his presents, every present he opened he wanted to play with there and then, and not bother with the rest of them. He got a big garage and a road thing for the floor which is probably the best thing we bought him, keeps him going for ages. He also got a bike, which he can't even pedal lol. Mark also bought him a kids guitar.
Good bye 2008, and hello to a great 2009 with both my boys. Hope all your 2009's are filled with happy babies, pregnancies and LOTS and LOTS of BFPs xxxxxx
