17-1-2009 - Feeding well, Feeling hopeful

My mood while writing this blog:
YEEEEEEEY!!!

4oz every 3 hours HORAAAAAY!!!!

So Caiden has gone from his usual 2-3oz 4 hourly to 4oz every 3-4 hours and is loads happier in himself.

When I first changed his teats he did 17oz (Thursday) then the next day he did 19oz (Friday) and today from 4am till 6pm he has already done 20oz he is due his next feed about 10ish so if he does another 4oz that means he will have done 24oz in 24 hours, thats 6oz difference.

He has is also back to his old self again, I think ive heard him cry once or twice today and it lasted no more that 5-10 mins. He has gone to sleep sooooo well today as well. I put him in his basket when he fell asleep and he woke straight up and I thought shit!! but he just looked about for a while and then went back to sleep RESULT!

Also evenings were the worst but now he is STILL asleep I can't believe it. I always knew something was wrong and the doctor I once saw was soooo cocky and just said "Well babies do cry" I wanted to punch him in his bloody smug face! I knew full well Caiden was not usually like that. It's strange but I just knew he was a quiet baby. Mark used to say maybe I was wrong and he was going to be a crying unsettled baby but I stuck to my guns.

Now I get to say "I TOLD YOU SO" lol its great! I can't wait to get him weighed again. Hopefully I can get rid of his tiny baby vests soon (YES!!! TINY BABY...STILL lol)

I am now however faced with another issue......his 1st set of injections!!! YIKES lol. He goes on Wednesday, I booked it for 5.10pm.....and told Mark I would have Caiden ready in his car seat so he can take him when he finishes work, there is no way I could take him I am such a wimp. So I am guessing crying Caiden will come back to visit us again for a few days, I have the Calpol ready lol.

I hope I have not just jinxed myself by bragging lol. I will so kick myself if I have. It's just my luck I say how great things are going and bang it come back to bite me in the arse.

Anyway thank you everyone for your lovely supportive comments and hope all your babies/pregnancies are going well and those TTC hope 2009 will be your year xx

Thats really good news, we are just about to change Ryan's teats thanks to you and your last post, it seems to take him ages to drink a couple of oz's so I'm guessing that the milk is to slow for him as he often falls asleep and looses interest in the second half of his bottle, I'll let you know how it goes. Good luck with the jabs I'm not looking forward to that part of parenthood either. xx

Yay, thats fab! Elliott is now taking 5-6oz every 4 hours now too and didn't wake for a fed through the night lastnight! (I have prob just jinxed myself now too! xx
