20-1-2009 - Caiden appt with Paediatric surgeon

Friday 27th Februrary. Caiden has an appt with a paediatric surgeon from London Royal Hospital, who is visiting Basildon Hospital. I got the letter today with the appt date and time. I was totally not expecting it so soon. In fact I was not expecting one at all as the doc at my 6 weeks check said she will check his little manhood at 3 months and see how it is growing then refer me if i needed to be.

I am a bit nervous but not too much as the doctor at my 6 weeks check said that he might not have to have the operation beause he can still wee and his hypospadias its not too far down. So I have my fingers crossed that he will be fine without an operation.

As for feeding he is still doing well, consistantly doing 4oz every 4 hours. I have done a chart on excel so I can write down all his feeds, sleeping patterns etc so I can get his routine on paper. Sounds a bit anal, but hey im a cancerian lol. It has worked well though. I am getting him weighed tomorrow (10wks 1day) so I am hoping he has gained a decent amount of weight. I would ideally like him to be 10lb 10oz or more as Cameron weighed that at 8 weeks.

I was looking through all his clothes today and put a lovely top on him and it was sooo baggy but also looked like a 3/4 length sleeve on him it was so funny, I couldn't help but laugh at him and he gave me the funniest look as if to say "what you laughing at" he seemed horrified that I was actually laughing....which made me laugh more. Then because I was laughing, Cameron started laughing (not knowing why he was laughing). All that laughing did not do my stomach any good as I went to keep fit last night and feeling the affects ALL day lol

Speaking of keep fit, now thats a funny story. lol. There was only 6 of us there and I got the short straw and ended at the front and was totally out of time and could not help but giggle the whole way through. I am going back next week it was such fun. Excerise fun, who'd have thought lol.

fingers crossed he doesnt need it hun, hopefull he wont. im sure he will be fine :) that is great that hes sticking to 4oz now well done caiden! and a for keep fit i wish i could start i just so lazy! been eating healthier well trying i still think im eating for two! ha! x x

I hope Caiden doesn't need an op its good that he is seeing a specailist as it will put your mind at rest rather than the docs saying maybe and then having to wait for an appt after they decide to do something. Also good news about the feeding, he'll be piling on the pounds before you know it.
Its funny when there clothes are baggy, Ryans trousers are all to big in the waist and slightly too long in the legs can't wait until he's a proper chunky monkey.
