10-8-2008 - finally medication free happyMy mood while writing this blog:
happy

Last Thursday I had another regular appointment. Since I was diagosed positive for toxoplasmosis I had to see the doc once a week and the prescribed me antibiotics and other stuff since week 14. To keep an eye on how I was dealing with it they kept taking blood tests. And honestly, I thought I had to take those meds like forever which was really annoying because I had to take them every 6 hrs which mean i had to get up in the night everyday :-(

Two weeks ago I went to the pharmacy to get another 3 packs of my meds and this lady told me that they were not available because they couldnīt produce as much as needed. So my doc said I could take a rest from the medication and that it wasnīt a problem to stop for 4 weeks and then start again. He also told me that he thinks that I might be allowed to stop taking it completely but it would depend on the blood results. So they took my blood and the doc got the results but the laboratory wouldnīt say if I could stop the meds or not. I was like grr...make up your minds...:-( But my doc called other laboratories and Universities to ask what was the best thing to do.

On friday I finally got a phone call from my doc telling me that I can stop the medication and that I developed enough antibodies to cope without the meds. FINALLY!!! :))

Hopefully from now on I can have a med free pregnancy.
