22-6-2009 - Father's Day and first Doc's appt

Well, yesterday was Father's Day, and I surprised the hubby with the card and the frame with the picture of the test in it. My husband saw it when he woke up and, with tears in his eyes and a big smile on his face, he said 'Are you serious!!!" Needless to say he was super excited and started calling a few buddies right away. We told his parents yesterday with some sweet gifts and they were BAWLING, they were so happy! My mom was happy, and I told a few other relatives too and they are all very excited for us!
Today was my first doctor's appointment, and I swear I have the best doctor is the world. She is SO sweet and was congratulating me with a big smile on her face (I've only seen her a few times before, she is my new doctor). I told her I wasn't exactly sure of the date of my last period, so she is sending me for an ultrasound (EE!!! Thanks Diane for the tip...although I really am not exactly sure!) and some bloodwork for the preliminary tests that are required. So all is well! YAY!

My thoughts though, are with tashabailey, who is going through a rough time. Lets all hope for a sticky bfp for tasha!

AWESOME, I was waiting to hear from you and see how the DH loved his present : ) So to get an early sonogram all ya gotta say is you don't remember your last AF? Hmmmmm cool!

;) Good for you on getting an early u/s. I think they should be mandatory anyway just to rule out early problems (that I know you won't have!) I knew hubby would love how you chose to tell him - very sweet, and so worth the wait, right? Congrats again momma! PS: I am praying hard for Tasha - I never trust hCG results until I've seen two with a dropping number!
