My mood while writing this blog: Confused! |
I was just thinking... I went to the doctors yesterday for my first appointment. But she did not confirm my pregnancy with a blood/urine test. She is sending me for blood work but also scheduled me for an early ultrasound. Is this normal not to confirm a pregnancy? I thought that was the first step! She asked me about my testing and I told her I tested 3 times, so do you think she thought it was sort of pointless? Help!

Wednesday, 24 Jun My dr had me take a urine test, but i really felt like it was a wasted trip. blood work would be best i think because then they will know your levels. DiandClover -
Tuesday, 23 Jun My doc just took my word for it, and I never had to do an in office test. In fact, my doctor never does in office tests, he sends you to the hospital to pee in a cup! Forget that, I can see two lines on my own time, thanks! lol MrsStrickland74 -
Tuesday, 23 Jun My doctor wasn't going to confirm my pregnancy. She asked me when my lmp was over the phone, scheduled my first ob vist for 8 weeks. I was freaking out. I wanted them to take blood or something so I finally convinced them to just to make sure my levels were correct with my dates. So I guess it isn't unusual for them to not confirm a pregnancy. yorkie puggle -

Tuesday, 23 Jun did she give you an exam? When I went for my first appointment with my DD, the doctor took a look inside and told me my cervix was turning blue, which is a pregnancy sign. And then she gave me the script to get my blood taken, and a couple weeks after that I had a sonogram. Hope this helps! xoxo cpalmer -
