We just found out that we are expecting our 2nd LO! Total shocker there as we definitely weren't planning on TTC for another year! Guess mother nature had other plans for us :-P Anyways, our new little peanut is tentatively due Dec 13, 2010. Hope to get it confirmed by my doc later this week.

Went ahead and took the second test in the box this morning and it was a BFP too! Figured I might as well double check myself since it would probably expire before I needed it again :-P Doc appt is set up for Monday at 4pm to confirm everything. Super excited about starting this journey all over again :-)

Just left the doctor and it is official! I am due 12/13! Was a little worried about being due so close to Christmas and all, but hopefully since this is my 2nd pregnancy I will go a little early! I get my first ultrasound on May 7th and we should be able to see a heartbeat by then! Yay! I still can't believe I am pregnant again, but I get more excited by the minute (even with the m/s and headaches at large)!

Had my first ultrasound today and got to hear Baby B's heartbeat! I was so excited I started crying! I have been so paranoid this time around that there wouldn't be a heartbeat. You would think this being my second time around I would be more relaxed, but totally the opposite. Anyways, heart rate was 176, just a tad higher than Greyson's was. Next appointment will be the first week of June. Should just be a normal appointment that time and then hopefully the one after that I'll get my scan to find out what I am having :-)

I know I am only 11 weeks and 4 days, but I swear I am starting to feel the baby. Over the past couple of days I have started to feel what feels like tiny pin sized bubbles popping or someone very lightly flicking me deep down in my pelvic area. At first I kept telling myself it was just gas or something since they tell you that you aren't supposed to be able to feel the baby yet, but I have felt it several times now over the past couple of days and I just really don't think it is gas anymore (trust me I have had plenty of that and that is not what this feels like :-P)! Anyways, next doc appointment is next Wednesday! Can't wait to hear Baby B's heartbeat again! If all is well, I will be announcing my news to work! Now is when things start to get really exciting :-)

Had another doctor appointment today. Heartbeat was 165! Still nice and high! Took the doc a minute to find it though, which made me pretty nervous, but right as she was about to give up and give me an ultrasound poof there it was :-P Next appointment is July 1st. I was hoping to get my ultrasound then, but doc says I have to wait another week or two past that :-/ Boo! I still really think it has to be another boy though considering I have had 2 dreams now that it is a boy, and my dreams tend to be pretty accurate lately :-P Guess only time will tell...

Had a 17 week check up with the doc today. Heart rate was 155, so still high and not too far off from where Greyson's was at this point. Ultrasound appointment is set up for July 15th at 3 pm! I am so anxious to find out that I am about to drive myself crazy :-P Still feeling the little taps inside, some days more than others. I remember feeling "external" movement with Greyson around 18 weeks, so hopefully I will feel some bigger jabs soon :-)

IT'S A BOY!!!! Yes it is official I have another little man in my belly! It really works out perfectly cause we have so much stuff of Greyson's that we will be able to use again, which will save us a lot! Of course this little guy will have some things that are just his own too. Speaking of which I can't wait to go out tomorrow and buy him his first present! I wonder what it will be...

I am feeling Baby B every day now! His kicks get stronger every day now. I can feel him the best when I lay down on my side. I love being able to listen to him with my doppler. His heartbeat always seems to fluctuate right between 145 and 155, which is exactly how Greyson was. I have a feeling we have another wild little man on our hands! Hopefully he and Greyson will be able to keep each other busy :-P

Another doc appt today! HB was 148 and I am measuring right at 21 weeks, so right on schedule. I have another appt in 4 weeks and then I will start my 2 week appointments after that! Yikes! I can't believe I am already almost to that point!

So I failed my 1 hour glucose test, again! I even tried to watch my sugar intake this time hoping that it was just my diet that made my numbers come back high. However, my efforts were wasted cause I have to go tomorrow morning and do the 3 hour test. I know most people pass this one and I passed it my first pregnancy, but I can't help but be nervous about it. Plus I hate having to fast for it! Baby B is a hungry little bugger, so 12 hours without food is an eternity! Then again I probably need it as I gained 7 pounds in 3 weeks at this last doctor visit! Aaahh! So much for trying to keep it to a pound a week :-P

So I failed my 3 hour glucose test!! :-( Now I have to go meet with someone at the diabetic clinic next Tuesday to talk about how to try and change my diet to keep my numbers down. At my doctor appointment today she said that I'm not super high...just my 1 hour and 2 hour numbers were higher than they like, so hopefully nutritional changes should fix that and I won't have to go on insulin. Other good news was that I only gained 1.4 pounds over the past 2 weeks and my blood pressure is still nice and low. Crossing my fingers that I can hang in there as close to my due date as possible!

I got so busy in the 3rd trimester with trying to finish the nursery and dealing with gestational diabetes that I didn't have time to do any more updates. I was lucky enough not to have to go on insulin, so I remained diet controlled throughout the last 8 weeks of the pregnancy. It was frustrating having to follow the meal plan, but it was worth it to keep Rylan healthy while in my belly. Luckily Rylan was born without any complications and his blood sugars are completely normal :-)
