14-1-2009 - Something to hang your hat on.....

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Ok the title of my blog might not make much sense to some of you. In short, the radio station I listen to does a segment every evening called "something to hang your hat on" and it is basically a little story with some kind of life lesson or moral or something to learn, and well I had one of those moments last night and I wanted to share it with all of you!

So I got up to pee about 2am just like I do every night and I laid down to "attempt" to go back to sleep when I feel my little man start kicking and squirming. For those of you who have read my other blogs, he does this like nonstop, and no matter where I am I like to stop and hold my belly to feel him. Well last night while I was doing this it all of a sudden dawned on me.....OMG in a month or so I won't feel him like this any more! I mean it just hit me like a ton of bricks that although I will finally have him in my arms, I will never have the joy of feeling all of his little movements inside of me any more! I wanted to share this with you guys cause I know like all of you I have been so focused on the countdown to when he is here that I hadn't even stopped to realize what I will be missing once I'm not pregnant anymore. I mean yeah my husband and I plan to have more children, so hopefully I will get to experience pregnancy again, but never again with my little man. So anyways this kinda made me sad, but I've decided to use this is a good way, and anytime I start complaining about my back hurting, or not sleeping, etc I will just remind myself of this moment and how it is just as prescious to be feeling your little one inside you as it is to be holding him in your arms, cause you as his mom are the only one that shares that experience with them!

Ok hopefully I didn't make any of you cry with that cause I got all teary eyed thinking about it again, but I thought I would pass this revelation along to all of you who are just sitting out there waiting for your little ones to be born! Hopefully this will make the time pass more peacefully for you : )
