26-8-2008 - Mr Mole BetterMy mood while writing this blog:
Better

Just got a call from doctor at the hospital. She told me she has had my blood results and they are sitting at a level of 5. This is great news. Basically she is testing for the presence of HCG in my blood. As you will know my miscarriage was in July and a normal miscarriage would mean your HCG hormone would return to normal. With a Molar Pregnancy there is the chance that the mole will continue to grow and this would return a high blood test. Mine being five is a really positive result. So I have to look forward to six months of further testing to ensure my blood results are stable and then if all goes to plan, I should be able to TTC again, if I want to.

Do I want to? Who knows????

Hey. That's great news about your blood test. After reading your previous post I read up about molar pregnancies as I'd never heard of it before. How frustrating that you have to wait sing long before trying again... But at least your encouraging results today hopefully mean that they will be 6 trouble free months. As for whether to try again at all, I think the next six months will give you all the time you need to sort through your fears and feelings and come to the conclusion that's right for the both of you.... All the best, Em x
