06-7-2008 - The name game...

My mood while writing this blog:
happy but tired!

We found out we were having a little boy at 13 weeks, and in the two months since then, my husband and I have been at loggerheads over a name! Since he is named Mike, he wanted to give our boy a different name, however, my name is Glade, and while I like it, I wanted our little son to have a more traditional name.

I wished to name him after my dad, who passed away three months ago, but my husband thought Raymond was too boring. (Dad went by Ray)

Well, we have decided, on Raynor Lee Keener(its pronounced RAY-ner), so he can go by Ray if he wishes, or Raynor if he wishes to be a little more unique!

So, we can't wait to finally meet you, Raynor!

Congratulations! I am partial to names starting with "Ray" myself; in April, a little four-year-old very dear to my family named Raymond died in a terrible car crash, and we considered using his name if we were to have a boy. A lovely name you've chosen-- your boy will be delighted by it.
