18-5-2009 - Long Cycles and Pregnancy!

My mood while writing this blog: freaked out

Ok so I am a little freaked out...I got a BFP 5/16/09 and havent had a period since March 29th- I was reading that long/irregular cycles can cause MC because the egg is bad! Has anyone had experience with this? Is this true??? Ahhhh...Im freaking out!

auww hun, dont sweat it, i know its hard not to. with baby elizabeth i ovulated between CD24-29. my pregnancy stuck like glue, with no problems, like i mentioned on the TTC forum, i was very unhealthy not taking care of my body at all and had hypothroidsm (which i didnt know i had which can lead to MC in itself). everything went fine. i have read about what you are talking about though, but many many women with long cycles become pregnant and have perfect a wonderful pregnancy. i hope this helps girl, be excited!!!!!!

Hey there I just ran across your page from the ttc forum..just wanted to reaassure you with the long cycles thing..I had my last af on Jan 14 of this year and got my bfp on March 11, and other than having to have an u/s to get a due date i am now almost 15 weeks and so far everything has gone great!! Good luck with your pregnancy, I was shocked when I got my bfp because my cycles were 50-60 days long, I have PCOS and just knew my af was about to vanish for good again..but nope, we now have baby number 2 on the way!! I hope everything goes great for you during your pregnancy, CONGRATS!!!
