02-5-2008 - 5/2/08 Update

My mood while writing this blog: Happy its Friday!

Well, I have my NT scan scheduled, but not until the 20th of this month, when I will be just past 13 weeks, I believe. But at least it is scheduled it was at this scan in December that I found out that I had miscarried, with no signs. But I feel so much more positive this time, the baby's heart beat is nice and strong, my symptoms have been very strong (unfortunatly!) and my belly is already showing, with my uterus measuring a bit ahead in growth.

I am sure I will still be nervous going into that u/s room however. Luckily the u/s techs at the office I go to are very friendly and explain everything as they do it. I have heard stories how some won't even let the parents look at the screen! I can't believe that, but I know it happens. I think if the office I went to did that, I would try and switch doctors.

All and all, everything is going well, other than the constant sickness and sleepies. My husband has been a godsend, taking care of the animals (3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 guinea pigs) and the house and laundry and the yard and letting me sleep most of every day!

My job is not physically demanding (executive assistant) but by the end of the work week, I am ready for the weekend. One of the good things about living in WV is that there are so many things to do on the weekends, right close by, if you like the out-of-doors. I think I am going to convince my husband to take me out to the mountains for the day Saturday, to enjoy the spring scenery.
