30-1-2009 - Found a new doctor

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Found a new doctor! It is actually the guy who delivered my husband and his siblings. I will probably only see the midwives most if not all of my visits. I went there after my miscarriage. The midwife was really nice and didn't tell me the usual "you weren't REALLY pregnant in the first place." She told me it was alright to cry (after being told I was being silly) and for my husband to take special care of me.

NOW, I just have to waltz into the mean doctor's office Monday morning and demand my medical records be given to me or faxed off. My husband is going with me for moral support.

They asked why I was switching and I told them about how I already have a $45 copay and they are sending me to a genetic counselor for my sickle cell trait. She was like, "Yeah, we don't do that." My mother did not have to go for my sister and no one else in my family. I don't have the funds for these extra luxuries.

*I've read others say that there is a way to stop others from getting a message when a blog is posted by a friend. I see where I can stop getting them but not where I can stop sending notifications of my own. If anyone knows how let me know.
