30-4-2009 - Trying to keep my cool

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Okay first of all I am a plus-size girl (200+; 5'8) and I lost 15 lbs during the first few weeks of my first trimester. Now at 19 weeks, I may have gained about 8+ lbs of what I lost. I come into work yesterday and a co-worker (old lady) comments that I've gotten fat. Another co-worker (#2) over hears her and says "Uh, I want to see your fat belly." So, I'm like, "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant." Today, yet another co-worker (#3) who is best friends with #2 walks into my office rubs my stomach and says "Uh, your stomach is bigger than it was yesterday!" They said that I had gotten really skinny during my first trimester (are you serious) and now I'm fat. I was so shocked that people could be so rude and insensitive.

I'm still wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes due to the fact that I lost in my 1st trimester and I'm in the process of gaining my weight back in my stomach.

Flesh wanted to tell them off but I stayed cool. I told my husband and he said that if he caught "old lady" in the parking lot he's going to tell her that he better never hear that she's calling his wife fat..lol. He's VERY protective of me.

The funny thing is old lady and co-worker #2 stomachs are bigger than mines!
