| 30-7-2009 - 32 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Wow, 32 weeks.....well ladies, I had my 32 weeks appt yesterday afternoon. I passed my glucose test! Whoo hoo! I know its kinda late to just be getting results but for some reason my doc didn't schedule me to take the test until 30 weeks. But I passed and I'm not anemic! Nothing but God considering my bad eating habits and forgetfulness when taking my vitamins! I didn't get to see her though. I didn't my previous appointment either! My appt. was at 4 pm and she didn't get to me until about 4:50, mind you they close at 5 pm. Everyone decided to call in sick today and those who were there had to fill in. I didn't say anything about it but she suggested that I schedule my appointments as her first patient when they open or as her first patient when they reopen after lunch.
I asked her about maternity leave. I still haven't completely decided whether I will need to return to work. I don't WANT to but may NEED to out of necessity. She suggested that my last day be August 28th. I was like WOW...lol. And then she was like what about the week before Labor Day? Which would make my last day September 4th. She told me to remind her when I go back on the 12th and she would fill out the papers. I was thinking more of 09/11. My mom, little sister (10 years old), and stepdad will be here from Virginia on 09/19 so I wanted to have at least a week off before they get her for sanity sake. My mom and sister are staying until 10/03.
I was thinking that if I returned to work after maternity leave, I could always work a few weeks and then quit but we do not really have/trust anyone who can watch Makaylah on the days my husband has to work. If his sister is still 'in town' (within an 1.5 hour drive) we could ask her to stay with us on those days but last time she stayed with us for a 'weekend' it turned into months until I complained that it was unfair that the only adult bringing in income in this house is the pregnant woman and her, her husband, and her 21 year old son left and went to stay with someone else. Also, my maternity leave would only be about 4 weeks paid.
The other option is to quit in September and run the risk of my husband not getting in the hours needed to pay all of the bills and I have to look for a part-time gig on the days he doesn't work.
Its really important to me to be the primary caregiver of this child. I know the Lord will make a way because I feel that my heart is in the rest place, I'm just waiting for him to tell me which way to go.....
What to do Lord, what to do....
