26-8-2009 - 36 weeks

Hi Ladies,

I just came from my 36 week appointment. Here I was worried about if the strep test was going to hurt and I should have been preparing for my cervix to be checked! Oh my goodness, I heard it hurt a little but WOW. I don't EVER want to be checked again..lol. I know next time to brace and relax for it. My friend suggested more sex will make it less painful for next week. Sex gives me cramps afterwards but not like this! What you ladies think?

Well, guess what!? The doctor did the little measurement and listened to the heartbeat. Then she did the swabs for the Strep. She asked me if the baby felt like its dropped because the head seemed low and I was like "I don't know." She then checked my cervix and said, "Oh, yeah the baby head is low! You are about 2 centimeters dialated, 80% effaced, and -1 station. You could go any day now!" She showed me the blood on her glove and said that it looks like I've been losing my plug gradually and that I may see a little blood over the next day or so.

Well, the waiting game seems even more real now. Now I just hope I don't stay at 2 centimeters for weeks!
