20 weeks and we had our ultrasound Friday, February 6th. SOOO tempted to find out the sex but agreed with hubby to wait, so wait we are. Great news is doctors found NO markers for Downs or any other problems. She said our odds went from 1 in 730 to 1 in 1,500 now. Very glad we passed on the amnio. Spine looks good and from what I've read they can detect 90% of spina bifida cases.
Baby wasn't moving a ton, but he/she did turn head, move hands - those long legs were stretched out and crossed at the ankles at first like he/she was kicking back and having a Mai Tai. Tech did a good job, then another doctor came into double check everything. She said my placenta is in the front so the ultrasound pics aren't real clear but thats ok, as long as they can see everything they need to and we are OK! Hooray! Today I started officially cleaning out the old guestbedroom and am now getting in the habit of referring to it as the nursery. I think this is really going to happen.....I made one trip to the dump and one trip to the Salvation Army. It's a cleaning frenzy - madhouse here today!
