26-5-2009 - 35 1/2 wk visit

My mood while writing this blog: happy!

Rats! Up 4 lbs in 2 weeks...that's 2 per week. Got to slow down on the cookouts and birthday party cakes and speed up on the walking each day. Good bye to my favoritie Panera Chicken Frontega sandwhich 1 - 2x per week loaded with cheese and salty bread too I guess LOL... 26lbs overall so I only have 4lbs to give to my goal / cap!

Doc said baby is measuring 36 weeks and his guestimate (good enough for me) is I have about 3 weeks left ( a week early?) and baby should come in around 7.5 - 8lbs. Whoopie! Heartbeat was 145 - right where it's always been since about week 17.

Now not to be so jaded, but does that sound too good to be true (doc's predictions)? Like perhaps he knows the strength of the power of suggestion will keep me smiling and feeling positive? I really don't care. I'm happy as a lark!!!!

Met a couple in the waiting room who was at the doctor's for moral support for their daughter since her husband could not miss work. I guess this is their first grandchild and it took their daughter 3 rounds of IV and 2 rounds of AIS to get pregnant. She is only 7 weeks along and even gramps proudly boasted that they already detected a heartbeat and her HCG levels were 9k. Good Lord...just 7 weeks....that seems like years ago! I hope you all are doing well....no GREAT!

Congrats on a good appt! Hard to believe we're almost done! There is a webiste that shows what the baby should look like each week and I first looked it up at 6 weeks. I set it as a favorite on my computer to check periodically and it always takes me back to the 6 week mark! Crazy to think he looked like a tadpole then and now he's fully formed! Time has gone by fast! Good luck with the next few weeks! We're all going to start dropping like flies pretty soon!!!

Well glad that your appointment went well. I go tomorrow and then every week until the baby comes. I am getting so excited.
