09-4-2008 - Yummy easy treat!!! OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

So, apparently, yogurt and granola gives me hot throat. I thought yogurt was supposed to help!
So the whole ride home on the bus (about an hour) I'm thinking about a milkshake that I saw the recipe for at work. Thinking. Dreaming. Wishing. Ah. Lovely milkshake. And I don't even have to run out to get unhealthy supplies (ice cream).
I've modified it a bit from original. Toned down the PB (it was double this!) and made it half-sized. Hope you enjoy!

2T chocolate syrup
4T milk (I used skim)
3T peanut butter (I used all natural, no added sugar or salt)
6 cubes of ice
blend well and chug-a-lug!
I used my smoothie maker, as I don't have a proper blender. I suggest adding the milk while the unit is spinning, as I added milk first and it was so thin it came out of my stoppered spigot!

Didn't really help the heartburn afterwards, but the chill during sipping (chugging, spooning into my mouth, and cleaning out the inside of the glass w/ my fingers!) was really nice. And oh, the peanut butter!!! Great source of protein!!! At least that's how I spun it to DH when he came home to a chocolate-covered smoothie machine...
