11-7-2009 - new apartment finally

My mood while writing this blog:
bored

well we finally moved from our 1 bed 1 bath apartment!! it was so hard living there with also a baby and 2 dogs and a cat, we are so relieved also to be away from the students and live around more families....our apartment is great except for one thing, but its a bad thing. the carpet in my living room smells like piss sooooo bad!! they say they clean all the apartments b/w tenants, and the floor LOOKED clean when we moved in, i know they swept it, but it needed more than that. we ended up renting a rug doctor and shampooing it with pet smell remover (which helped some) and then regular carpet shampoo. i can still smell it though. i know its been cleaned up now, and i have started letting Forest down on the floor on our area rug and also on his big play mat. but i still dont like him rolling onto the carpet with the way it smells. my fiance says im crazy and he cant smell it, but its driving me insane!!! i dont know what else to try on it, especially since i won't be spot cleaning but doing the WHOLE room...

-----anyways---- for the rest of the apartment, our living room is huge! its so long and spacious, its not cluttered and we have an open bar that divides off the kitchen. the day after we moved in, they brought a brand new refrigerator for us, it was even in the box still. we have a dishwasher, which saves me so much time and stress. the master bedroom is a good size with a bay window and big closet. the whole apartment has great closet space. the bathroom in the master bedroom is 'mine' and the one off the living room is anthonys. im so happy to have my own bathroom and not have to share it with a gross man!!!! ewww for pee on the toilet and hairs all over the soap. Forest can have his own bedroom now, so his crib, dresser, and changing table is in there. he has a big closet too. i havent been able to let him sleep in there yet, no matter how hard i try, i cant stop co-sleeping. its because i really dont want to...i just love cuddling my little man all night, waking up to his cute face first thing in the morning, i can't get enough! he would sleep fine anywhere, but its me with the problem now lol. i just dont want to wait too long to the point where he is old enough to be scared alone in there and not be used to it. we have a back porch that we all love and a lot of grass for the dogs. Forest loves being outside. well thats pretty much it, just bored and hadnt written abou the new place yet, im sure ive left lots out but oh well

I would tell your landlord or apartment owner....maybe they can get you new carpet? Its worth a shot....try asking...

I hear ya!! I hate the smell of urine and I think that sometimes once that smell is there especially with cats pee... there ain't no getting rid of it. I wish you the best of luck.

i heard baking soda helps carpet smell, look up on net im sure ull find lots and im gad ur doi g well hun xo
