| 05-12-2008 - 9 months | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Well, my little man is 9 months old! It is amazing how much time flies. Tonight we are taking him to get his 9 month/Christmas photos done. I am so excited. I did his 3 month photos, but then he came down with Roseola around 6 months and we never took him to get them done! Luckily I have a cute picture that I took with my digital camera before the roseola hit, and I am just going to use that as his 6 month picture.(Luckily it was digital, so I can have 5x7 & wallets made) We are also going to have him sit on Santa's lap since we are going to be at the mall anyway. May as well get it all done in one shot. :)
This month has been a big one for him! He FINALLY got his first tooth this week. It is his bottom, right tooth. He looks so cute with his little tooth. I just can't wait until he gets some more so that we can start working towards some actual table food. He has been eating mashed potatoes (with a little gravy), tiny chunks of pancakes, and the broth of my soups. He has also had Cheerios, Gerber puffs, Mum Mums, Biter Biscuits, and Zwiebek toast.
He is also pulling himself up on EVERYTHING and cruising around the furniture. He has even gotten gutsey and let go a few times He is getting so good that he switches from the couch to the end table then back to the couch.
The only negative thing that has developed is he little "independent attitude." He HATES being changed (diaper or clothes) and often throws a fit when I am trying to get him dressed. When he doesn't get his way (like slapping daddy's 48 inch plasma tv,)he will throw himself backwards and cry hysterically! It is awful, and I am trying to teach him not to do it, but when I say "no,no" or "That is unnecessary, stop throwing a fit," he just cries even harder. The only way he stops is if I pick him up and snuggle him. But isn't this just encouraging the negative behavior??
Another thing that I am struggling with is his Daddy obsession. He has ALWAYS been a mama's boy, but lately he has been all about my husband. I mean I am so happy that he loves his Daddy so much, but I miss when he was my little snuggley man. :) I am told he will often switch back and forth though.
