08-12-2008 - one month old

My mood while writing this blog: proud

Mariah Celeste in now one month old. I cannot believe it. Time went by so fast and I've enjoyed every single moment of it. Ever since she was born I have learned this new love that never existed before. She has been lifting her head since birth and now can move from side to side. She has pretty grey/green eyes and can focus on things very well. She just sits in her little bouncy chair and looks around and stares at her family.

If you would know me personally, I dont have the patience or personality to deal with crying; and thankfully God knows who I am and gave me the most precious baby in the world. She hardly ever cries and smiles all the time, even in her sleep. I'm telling you, when my daughter is crying and fussing and then she is handed to me and I carry her and talk to her, she calms down and its just the most amazing feeling in the world to know that my voice and my presence is enough for her to become calm. I've never felt so proud of myself and know this is my calling. I am just so in love!!

Patrick is a great father and helps out so much. Because of him I am able to sleep and I'm so thankful!! To all the single parents out there, you are truely strong woman and deserve so much.
