09-4-2009 - five months old

My Mariah Celeste is now 5 months old. She has another doctors appointment next month so we'll see how big she has gotten. She is sitting up by herself and rolling around. She blabbles and oohhs and awws all the time. We have tried to give her peas but it just got her more constipated so she just isn't ready for food yet. We have tried to give her baby cereal/oatmeal but she isn't used to that yet either. Hopefully in a few weeks she will get the hang of it.

I haven't gotten her ears pierced yet but I really want to. I just can't find the courage. :-( I am such a big baby! I want to get it done soon or else she will start pulling on them. Do you ladies have any advice?

I'm a big baby as well when it comes to seeing my babies in pain. I had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 6 weeks old, but my sister took her cause I couldn't bare to do it. She only cried for a minute and we stuck her pacifier in her mouth and then she was ok.

It took Sean quite a while to get the hang of babyfood....he has the crazy gag reflex. But she will get it, its amazing how much they grow in a couple weeks :)

When I got Mileys done she was 3 mo exactly and she cried for like 1 min and then she never again noticed them! Go for it! Its not as bad as you think!
