19-2-2009 - Feeling pregnant! Happy, happy, happy!!My mood while writing this blog:
Happy, happy, happy!!

Well I'm starting to feel quite pregnant now! Odd thing to say I know, but my bump is growing nicely, and I can feel it getting bigger everyday. I feel very "full" just above my pubic bone and below my tummy, and can kind of feel some weight there when I walk upstairs! I know that sounds silly but that's how I feel! It might also be because I was already a bit overweight when I fell pregnant!
It tends to be more in the evenings but I am getting some cramps - mild ones - but I know they're happening if you see what I mean, and sometimes it feels like I'm getting pinched from within! Anyone else having anything similar? I hope it's normal (that's what I keep telling myself anyway!)
I was laying in bed the other morning waking up and it really felt like I could feel babes moving. I know I couldn't and it was probably gas but it really made my day!
I have felt a little nauseous over the last few days, and not fancied eating much. I roasted a chicken for last night's dinner, sat down and just didn't want it. I forced it down and felt really quite sick afterwards! Oh well, baby needs the nutrition and I haven't actually been sick to date so I thought it was a good bet I wouldn't start now... watch this space! (Daryl had finished his by the time I had taken two mouthfuls! **eye-roll**)
Fortunately, the nosebleeds have stopped, and I have no idea if it was related or not but the headaches have worn off too - after 3 awful weeks :(. I did wonder if it was blocked sinuses causing the headaches and the nosebleeds were a result of that...
Finally worked up the courage to have my blood taken yesterday for all the necessary testing. I know it's late but I am really scared of needles. It's so embarrassing and ridiculous! The nurse was fantastic though, and managed to calm me down enough to do it without too much of a bruise. I was crying for goodness sake! Oh these hormones! She told me her husband called them Horn-mones when she was preggers because she was so evil!
The reason I made myself have the blood taken yesterday was because we have our NT scan next Thursday and I thought a week was the minimum amount of time I should allow so that the results are ready for then. I cannot WAIT for the scan and to see babes jumping about and waving again. I just hope everything is okay and babes is healthy and happy.
Talk about babbling on - just realised I have been writing for ages so will shut up now and let you ladies go!
Hope you are all well, those of you with bumps are feeling good, and those of you TTC get BFPs soon, and ladies who have had a rough time lately are feeling a bit better everyday. Thinking of all us brave girlies!
Big hugs.

Glad to hear that you are doing better and finally feeling pregnant! It won't be long before you are feeling little flutters a lot. Your nausea probably won't last too long since it started late--lucky!! I hope it gets better for you soon. I hate that icky feeling. Take care hun! :o)

I have those pains too, don't panic, it's just baby stretching - I actually like it now as I know it's the baby getting bigger. I am praying for the day that my nausea goes away! xx
