25-2-2009 - Scared! Scared, nervousMy mood while writing this blog:
Scared, nervous

Hi Ladies
I am worried! Is it normal to start to lose ALL of your pregnancy symptoms around this time? I know they say the nausea starts to subside around now but my boobs aren't hurting so much either...they are still huge though!
I have my 12 week NT scan tomorrow lunchtime and I am so scared. So scared that the baby has died like my last baby and I don't know about it. But then when I pull myself together and tell myself everything must be fine I start to worry about whether the baby will be healthy. I am having trouble imagining having a normal pregnancy with a healthy baby at the end of it.
Am I the only one who feels like this or is everyone the same?!
Hope everyone else is doing better than me.
Heidi xxx

hey Heidi- I know this is kind of an old blog- so maybe you're feeling a lot less scared about M/C by now. I just wanted to tell you that I had a silent/ missed miscarriage with my last pregnancy and so I've been thinking about that this time as well- but from what I've read they are pretty rare and so the chance of actually having 2 is not likely. I remind myself of that when I start to get nervous and it calms me down a bit.

Blessings to you!!!

They say that the 2nd trimester is like the honeymoon bc you're symptom free. Enjoy it while it lasts!!!!! My boobs have toughened up too. Try not to worry, everything is fine!

((HUGS)) It's hard to say what is normal since so many different things are, but I wouldn't worry if I were you. I have had days, and almost weeks where I had no symptoms. My boobs haven't hurt for a while either, but I have read that several women have the opposite. If you're not having cramping or bleeding then you are most likely doing just fine. I know it's easy to worry---and I'm guilty of it too...but try to think positive. I'm sure baby is doing just fine. I don't know if I suggested this to you already or not, but maybe you should look into getting a fetal doppler. I got one off of Ebay yesterday for about $40 (and that was with shipping included). It might ease your mind. Take care, hun. : )

heidi, don't worry! i'm losing all of my symptoms, too, and was also really worried. my boobs don't hurt and i'm not nauseous and my appetite is coming back, plus i don't look pregnant (i even lost a little weight). i was starting to freak out but i went to the doctor today and she couldn't find the heartbeat (scary) - so she pulled out the ultrasound machine and we saw the little one moving around like crazy! she assured me that the baby is fine and that everything looks normal so far.

i've been having those same worries; it's hard having had a missed miscarriage and constantly be worried that the same thing is happening and that i just don't know. just try hard to think positive; imagine holding your baby in september and try to push those fears aside - don't let them take over or it's a dark spiral downward, i know. i'm sending you good thoughts. xox
