My mood while writing this blog: GREAT |
Just cleaning up my page, updating and adding this to a blog for my records since baby is here! She is already 1 month and I am finally just getting around to this. LOL!
With my first pregnancy I got pregnant with no complications. Then I couldn't get pregnant after that. We tried for 9 yrs. Then I was diagnosed with PCOS. My Dr. put me on metformin and within 7 months I was pregnant. Unfortunately my Dr. asked me stop the metformin as soon as I became pregnant; which I did not find out until I was already 12 wks along. So I stopped it and I had a m/c at 14 wks in Oct. 08. Now 6 months later I'm pregnant again, but this time my Dr. agreed to let me stay on the metformin so I am hoping to make it through this pregnancy. So I should be very excited but I'm not I'm very scared. I also don't want to tell anyone cause last pregnancy we thought we were far enough along and had just told everyone and then had to tell them a couple of weeks later the bad news which makes it even rougher. I don't want to tell anyone until I am like 6 months or showing.

Pregnancy TickersSo a little about my journey so far...I have been with my husband since I was 17 yrs old. I became pregnant when I was 18 yrs old with no medical intervention. I was induced 11 days before my due date because I had developed a mild case of pre - e. Gave birth to my handsome son Ty, 5 lbs 5 oz, June 1999. Then I couldn't get pregnant after that. We tried for 9 yrs. I went through 7 cranky Dr's that didn't want to seem to help or look for a problem. All they would do is say come back when you loose some weight then we will try to get you pregnant. Just one kick in the gut after the other. Until in 2008 I found another Dr and had decided that this would be my final try at this because I was becoming depressed from all these Dr's. I had aways thought they were suppose to help you not kick you when you were down. It was a good thing I tried one more time, I found the best Dr. in the world. Within 2 visits she had me diagnosed with PCOS, and told me " Don't you worry anymore, You'll be pregnant within a year!" My Dr. put me on metformin and within 7 months I was pregnant. Unfortunately my Dr. asked me stop the metformin as soon as I became pregnant. She had forgot to explain to me to wean myself off of the metformin not to quit cold turkey. I hadn't found out I was pregnant until I was already 12 wks. I had a m/c at 14 wks in Oct. 21. A baby boy. We were devastated. We began TTC as soon as my Dr. gave us the O.K. and 6 months later I became pregnant again, but this pregnancy my Dr. agreed to let me stay on metformin for my 1st trimester. I was scared during this whole pregnancy even with every reassuring bit of news I received along the way. I had a wonderful pregnancy and ended up with my beautiful daughter Rio, 8 lbs even, January 2010. We are now TTC #3. I just started taking metformin again and within 9 days I got my period so we are actually expecting to fall pregnant sooner than the regular 6 months it was taking before. FINGERS CROSSED;) If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
