09-8-2008 - Week 19

My mood while writing this blog: Surprised!

Hi!

I had a gyneacologists appointment this week, to have a look at my yeast problem. Well...my own doctor is on holiday so I had a very old fashioned one instead. He told me he could do nothing and I should have to learn to live with it forever :-S His remedy? Not wearing trousers anymore and don't shave. That was all. Pffff unbelievable! No need to say that he was a MAN.... A woman-doctor would never have said that! So I made directly an appointment as soon as my own gyn gets back. I just have to suffer a few weeks... ;-(

But...the only good thing he did was looking at my baby with echo. I didn't expect that to happen but just lied to the doctor a bit and said I hadn't felt the baby for a while... So he took a look. (while I expected he would say that it was normal in week 19 not to feel everyday - which I don't- and not to worry)

The baby was deep asleep and he took a look at the heart. That was ticking like normal. The size of my baby was a 19 week-size so that was good! The baby was asleep with the head bent to the chest a bit, so we only could see the crown of the head. (Like you are standing up and looking down on a toddler that stands next to you looking downwards) But....in just a fraction of time, the baby looked up to us and the doctor made a photo very quickly! Then after a few seconds the baby bent his/her head down again and slept further. Wow! In just a split second I saw the face and better... I got it on camera!!

Next week tuesday I will have my 20 week scan (I will be 19w6d then) so more pics are coming soon I guess! Hopefully I will find out that everything is OK with my little 'beeb' and maybe...we will see if it's a boy or a girl??

My sister will not be there with my delivery, she is going on a world trip with her boyfriend for 6 months. So she will get back not sooner then my child is already 3 months old! Well....she took a day off to be at my 20 week-scan so maybe she will be there finding out if I get a girl or a boy! I am very happy about that!!
