Cravings

Hey Ladies I just had a quick question for everyone. I have a new craving for Dr. Pepper. I know it is bad to drink soda and I have spent hours googleing it and some people say its ok and some say it causes miscarriage. I have such a craving that if my guy would allow me to drink five 2-liters a day I would but I dont. Does anyone else have this craving and what do you do to keep away from it. I mean I know I an go without it I just get very cranky when I go without

CAFFEINE IS FINE...IN MODERATION OF COURSE! WITH MY FIRST I DRANK TEA EVERYDAY!! AND MY BABYBOY WAS VERY HEALTHY! :) AS LONG AS ITS 300 MG OR LESS, IT SHOULD BE OKAY.

i think in moderation it's ok - so a glass to satisfy the craving and then that's IT for the day/couple of days. mmmm dr pepper sounds AWESOME right now !!!!

Yeah regualr pop is alright my dr told me. He just said NO DIET POP. It has something called Phenylalanine in it and it causes miscarriges and birth deafects. Phenylalanine is also in every type of gum you can buy and some jellos. Just watch for that - usually it has a big WARNING on the side and it says it contains Phenylalanine. But since we are almost out of our first Trimester the Dr said it was okay to drink regular pop just in some moderation.(Not all the time, just to satisfy your craving). Hope that helps!

caffeine probably won't cause you to miscarry, epsecially since we are almost out of the first trimester.

i wouldn't worry so much about the caffeine, as i would the sugar and corn syrup and additives and carbonation. they all can add to extra weight gain, higher blood pressure, and the carbonation can give you extra (painful!) gas!

im a puritan though, i don't drink soda at all ^^ maybe try drinking a juice instead? there's still tons of sugar and bad things in most juices... but they are better than soda! hansens makes a delicious caffeine/sugar/additive free soda. kerns makes a delicious juice :)

good luck! and dont deprive yourself completely! if you feel like some, have half a glass or something. it won't kill you or the baby!

I drink caffeine free coke when i get a craving. Its actually pretty good.
