| 18-12-2008 - First "official" ultrasound | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
We had our second doctor appointment yesterday and had our first "official" ultrasound! (My sister-in-law did an ultrasound for me a few weeks ago, so yesterday wasn't really our first one.) The ultrasound tech couldn't get him/her to move AT ALL! The little guy/gal just laid there, content as ever, apparently snoozing! After some pushing down for a while on my poor tummy, the baby finally rolled over, then rolled over again and resumed his/her original position and, assumingly, went back to sleep! Oh, well! Hopefully, that means he/she will be a good sleeper! We were glad for the chance to see him/her and are even happier to know that everything appears to be going well. My due date is still right on track for June 27th. Our next ultrasound is scheduled for February 16, which is when we'll find out what we're having. It seems so far away, but I'm sure the time will fly just as it has already! It's hard to believe Christmas is just one week away!
I still haven't been having many symptoms other than an occasional nauseous feeling and being unnaturally hungry all the time! I haven't had too many cravings, but for some reason recently I keep thinking about eggrolls and Burger King whoppers, and I keep eating Cinnamon Life cereal like it's going out of style! I was a little worried at my first doctor appointment that I had gained about 10 lbs! I was hoping I wouldn't average 10 lbs a month resulting in an overall 90 lbs weight gain!!! But, thank goodness, I hadn't gained a single pound from the first to the second appointment, so I guess everything just evens out.
Most of our friends and family know the good news by now, but we do have a few people left to tell. Hopefully, we'll be able to tell almost everyone over the holidays and the rest of our friends and family we'll try to catch with our Christmas/New Year's letter, if I ever get around to writing one, that is! It's on the same "To Do" list as baking christmas cookies, cleaning out the spare bedroom, getting out Christmas decorations (which I think will NOT get done this year), along with a few other things I keep meaning to do.
Anyway, all for now!
