| 06-4-2009 - Hospital Tour/Miscellaneous | My mood while writing this blog:Pretty happy |
We just had our hospital tour at BryanLGH on Saturday. The hospital just remodeled it's Labor and Delivery floors and everything is nice and new! On the actual Labor and Delivery floor, every room is private and you begin and end labor in the same room. Each room has brand new technology, so the baby doesn't have to leave the room to be weighed, measured, etc. Then a few hours after the baby is born, we will be moved up to the Recovery floor, which is also new. Each room looks more like a luxury hotel suite than a hospital room! There is even a hospitality room for the parents and grandparents, which has free snacks and drinks and is available 24-hours. And the hospital offers room service between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for anyone who wants something. I feel much better now knowing where we need to go when the big day arrives!
We also registered at Target on Saturday. It's so handy to make changes or add items to the registry online! My sisters are throwing a baby shower on May 9th, so that will be fun and I am looking forward to it. I think I'll end up having about 30 people on the invitation list.
We begin childbirth classes on April 20th, so just a couple of weeks away! I really have no idea what to expect, so the classes should be super informative. But, I'm just not sure if it will be good or bad to know more about what will happen. Somehow I feel blissfully ignorant at the moment!
The baby is moving like crazy these days. I can feel elbows or knees or feet or hands fairly often! He seems to wake up with me for those late night trips to the restroom and will move around for about 20 or 30 minutes when I crawl back into bed. My tummy keeps visibly shifting whenever he moves, which still amazes me!
I haven't had any major food cravings lately, although I am perpetually hungry! I've been trying to eat more fruit and yogurt instead of unhealthy food. Healthy food has been tasting better to me anyway. I'm still trying to go to my 30-minute aerobics class MWF over my lunch hour. I can't really tell if it is helping or not, but I figure it certainly can't hurt! I've been doing pretty well in making it to the class each time, but last week I only made it to one out of three! I have some making up to do this week! And, hopefully, once the weather is better I can (and will be motivated enough to) go for more evening walks outside. Every excercise attempt feels like a success at this point!
Time keeps flying by and each month passes faster than the one before! Our little boy will be here before we know it! All for now!
