My mood while writing this blog: Happy |
Hello Everyone,
My husband and i have been married for 9 years today! We are going out for dinner on friday night with my parents and Guys mum. We were going to go out on our own but decided why not take everyone out.
So im 22 weeks today, I cant believe how fast the weeks are going. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and what a drama it was just to see a doctor. I couldnt get into 1 of the obstetric doctors the 1 i had my appointment with had to be cancelled twice as hed been called away both days so i ended up getting squeezed in with the female doc i saw last time. She did all the regular things and of course my bp was high there 168/98! I was shocked as i havent gotten such a high reading on the bottom for weeks, she did it again and it was much lower. So she wasnt happy with the readings ive been getting and im now on 3 tablets a day and if i dont see any improvemant by the end of the week then i should go up to 4. She also got the nurse to do an ecg while i was there as i told her about my racing heart, she looked at the readings i wrote down and decided to print out all my results of the tests i had done from 2006 when i was admitted to hospital. As i had gone to the doctors surgery first they also did a ecg so she printed that out so i have a big envelope to take to the hospital if it happens again. The ecg yesterday was normal, thankfully.
So i have another appointment with an obstetric doctor next wednesday and hopefully he will be there this time, i really need to know if they will be happy to continue my care here.
Thankyou for reading.

Tuesday, 28 Apr Hi. I'm sorry the doctor gave you such little consideration. If it makes you feel any better, I had to see a specialist (high risk due to diabetes/hypothyroid) about 5 1/2 hours from where I live. The first time it was scheduled for a Monday and they call me on Friday evening to cancel when my hubby and I had already taken off of work and made plans for our 3 year old daughter's care. Then, they did it again but this time it was the same day just a different time. I was supposed to go back on May 4 for a follow up sono but they called and cancelled that so it's rescheduled for May 18. So any way, it seems to be the norm at big doctor's offices. I'm glad my local doctor isn't like that. I'm happy that everything looks good on the ecg so far and that the bp came down when you had a chance to relax a bit. Hope that the extra pill does the trick for you. I'll pray that it does and you don't have any problems this time. Good luck and Congrats on the 9 years!
