06-5-2009 - Accident at school and 23 weeks RelievedMy mood while writing this blog:
Relieved

Hello everyone, i hope everyone is well. We had a big drama yesterday involving my 2nd youngest Nicholas at school. He feel off a climbing thing they call the spider and he landed on his back. He was having spasms in his back and couldnt move so they called an ambulance and he went to hospital where they did xrays on his neck and spine, thankfully there was no break or fracture and he has only bruised it, they kept him there until he got up and walked and they gave him some pain relief and told him to rest. So ive kept him home today and hes walking ok but it hurts a fair bit. I was so scared as we had just watched a tv show tuesday night were a young boy got hurt playing soccer and broke his neck. He said hes never getting on it again.

23 weeks yesterday, the weeks are going so fast. The 3rd bp tablet im taking seems to be helping, ive had 1 high reading but most of them have been good so hopefully it will stay under control. Im starting to feel braxton hicks and strong movements and even after 4 pregnancies i still find it amazing to feel a life growing inside me. Because i have an auto immune disease called Dermatomyositis which affects my muscles im still getting a massage once a week which is really helping now and i have a 1 and a half hour appointment tomorrow instead of the normal 1 hour and the lady i go to is truly gifted she is so good at it, i finally convinced my dad to go after 6 months and now he goes once a week for an hour and a half and hes feeling so much better. Anyway thanks for reading ladies.

Hi. I'm glad to hear the tablets are helping. I too am high risk, so I understand the extra stress it causes. Hopefully, you can relax and enjoy things a bit more. I'm glad your son wasn't seriously injured. How freaky to have that happen as I'm sure he's been on it hundreds of times before. As far as the massages, they do help. I get them about once a month. With my first pregnancy, I had severe back and neck pain. This time around I have very little (so far). Glad things are looking up for you.
