13-7-2009 - 32 wk Scan - Horrible Holidays

My mood while writing this blog: ok

Hello ladies, Well i had my 32 week scan last friday to check on growth and everything looks good he was measuring at 33w 1d instead of 32w 1d and his weight was 4p 8oz so that scan gave me a due date of 27th aug but i will have to see if that makes any difference when i see the doctor tomorrow. His head size is measuring at 34weeks so im hoping that his head doesnt get to big!! It was so cute watching him, he was head down and the tech pointed out things and let me watch his face for a minute and he was drinking the fluid you could see his little chin moving it was so cute.

The boys (except jordan) went back to school today after 2 weeks holidays, they were pretty horrible holidays mainly for our youngest, the first week he had a terrible flu that most of us also got but his turned to a pretty serious ear infection he went on antibiotics and i started the 2nd course and it wasnt helping and by the middle weekend he perforated his eardrum and had lots of goo coming out then by last friday it stopped but that was when he started waking up screaming his ear hurt and pain medication was not lasting long enough so saturday morning we went back to the doc and he gave him stronger antibiotics and ear drops, i have to watch him very carefully as when he was only 2months old he had mastoiditis which is were the ear infections spreads to the bone behind the ear and then it goes to the brain he went to hospital for iv antibiotics but then he had constant ear infection and tonsilitis, he had gromits put in his ears at 12months old then a 2nd set and his tonsils out at 18months old and hes been pretty good since then. He is slowly getting better but he hates taking the medicine and sometimes its a struggle to get him to take it which is frustrating.

So with heartburn and needing to pee and jordan waking up i havent been sleeping very much and yesterday (13th) was my 33rd birthday and i didnt have a very good day. My dad is taking us out for tea on friday so hopefully that will be good.

We are still having trouble picking a name my husband likes Jensen but i just dont know if it will be a name that he will get picked on, as it kinda sounds a bit girlish what do you think ladies please give me your honest opinion and any boys names you like.

Sorry you had such horrible holidays and I hope everyone is feeling much better. I hope you have a nice time Friday for your birthday tea. I quite like the name Jensen, I think 'boy' when I hear it, so I don't think that would be a problem. We are leaning towards Max, Tom, Angus or James at this stage for boys names, but that could change! Anyway, best of luck deciding on a name and I do hope you're all getting better. Take care!

Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your little boy. I hope he recovers quickly and the pain goes away. Hope you are able to get more sleep too, you need to take care of yourself. The measurements are an estimate for baby, so don't be too worried about it. He could be bigger or smaller by just a bit. Jensen is a good name; I don't see it as girly at all except if it was shortened to Jen....then I could see it maybe. I still think it's a great name but what really matters is that you and hubby both like it.

I like the name. Just a suggestion but what about something like Jasper or Jax? School starts here next month, I am hoping I can have this baby before they have to go back to school cuz they want to be there with us.
