| 26-8-2009 - 39 Weeks - Whooping Cough - Induction | My mood while writing this blog:Tired |
Hello ladies, So much has happened in the last week or so, i have alot of messages to catch up on. Firstly my husband was diagnosed with Whooping Cough last week, myself and the boys dont have it but have been put on a preventative antibiotic. This has caused so much drama, we all had to go to the doctor last saturday and i had so many question. Thankfully i havent gone into labour just yet but if i do in the next few days we will be in isolation and everyone will have to wear masks. My parents were going to go to my sisters last sunday but decided to go to my aunties for a few days and see how they feel as my sister has a 5month old the doctor advised agaisnt it, then monday the doc rang the health department and he said they shouldnt go anywhere near the baby for up to 3 weeks and not to be travelling and they should be on the antibiotic also and have a booster vaccine so they came home after 1 night. Guys mum is also having the treatment as she came in contact with guy also. So when our baby is born we have to have the vaccine and so will the baby. We are just so thankful that it has happened now and not after bubs is born and that the doctor guy saw ran blood tests and did some swabs, at first he said that it was just asthma but guy passed the asthma test and he told the doctor that it felt different this time and hed never felt like that before. He has gone back to work today after having 5 days off.
If all of that wasnt drama enough i went to my 39 week checkup yesterday and the doctor rang her consultant about the Whooping Cough to get some questions answered and when she told him my history he said the bigger concern is the blood pressure medication and that im not to go past 40 weeks 5 days. I have to have a CTG twice a week. The doctor said that i was to make an appointment early next week (tuesday) and they will check my cervix and if they can they will try and stir it up a bit and encourage my waters to break and if its favourable they will have me come back either thursday or friday to have my waters broken, i was shocked when the doc said this as i was told that they wouldnt induce me here due to me having my first by c-section but she said that they wont give me any medication to start anything if the waters being broken doesnt work i will have to go to toowoomba, im fairly confident that it will work as that is what they did with my 3rd at 38 weeks and i didnt need anything else. So i had some more blood tests done and was put on the monitor, i was having some strong bh contractions and during 1 his heartbeat dropped and i ended up being on the monitor for 45 mins instead of 20mins, other than the 1 drop his heartrate was perfect but the doctor wants me to come back today instead of saturday and if i feel hes not moving enough i have to go straight there. She showed me the printout and asked me was i feeling the contractions as they were reading pretty good, i can definately feel them but they wernt hurting in my back but they havent stopped and were getting stronger last night and they woke me up a few times last night, i am losing my plug slowly and i have so much pressure and the doctor said that his head is further down this week so hopefully i might go on my own.
Congratulations to those who have had their babies and good luck to those who havent and those who are ttc keep trying. Thanks for reading.
